Wende Journal

Wende Journal is an interactive mobile website that chronologically presents key events of the peaceful revolution in East Germany in 1989, with a special focus on the city of Plauen. To bring these stories directly to the people, I designed postcards to be placed at the historical locations where the events took place. When scanned, the QR code on the back of each postcard brings the front to life and takes users directly to the section of the website related to that specific event. From there, users can explore the timeline and follow the historical moments step by step.
